Victor Osimhen has admitted he was “very excited” after completing a surprise summer move to Galatasaray.
Osimhen was left out of the squad after failing to secure a move away from Napoli, despite the likes of Al-Ittihad and Chelsea attempting to sign him before the summer window closed.
He was also not part of Antonio Conte’s plans, with Napoli stressing that it was Osimhen who refused to play for them.
And with most of the European transfer window closed, Turkey remained the only option, with Osimhen eventually agreeing to join Galatasaray on a season-long loan.
“I knew how big Galatasaray was and how much like a family it was, and it had incredible fans. “Henry (Onyekuru) is my friend and he played for Galatasaray before and is still a fan. He told me how wonderful the people here are, so it was an easy decision for me.”
Osimhen also mentioned former Napoli teammate Dries Mertens, who now plays for Galatasaray. “It’s really amazing,” the striker said. “I also spoke with him. โปรโมชั่น ufabet He supported me a lot when I first went to Italy; he was like a brother to me. “I am very excited to become part of the Galatasaray family,” said the Nigerian striker.
“I can’t wait to give my all for this club and make the most of this new journey with this great group of players and fans.
“I am ready to create unforgettable memories together.”
